| IN its bid to complement government's efforts in professional development of teachers, towards achieving the Education for All (EFA) goals by 2015, the Community Participation for Action in the Social Sector (COMPASS) has commenced another round of training of teachers in 530 public primary schools in Lagos. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) had, in partnership with the Federal Government, launched the COMPASS Project in 2004. The five-year programme, which aims at improving and expanding access to quality health and education in five states, will run through 2009. The Professional Development Day (PDD) training, which was scheduled to last for three days is already going on at 75 centres in Lagos.
