Education District 1 recently honours outstanding teachers of Senior Secondary schools across the district. This was due to the outstanding performance put up by the students of the district in 2021 WASSCE examination. You may recall that the district’s performance in the external examination in the previous year was not too encouraging a development that prompted the deployment of various interventions in order to do better in 2021. The Tutor General/Permanent Secretary (TG/PS) of the district Mrs. Margaret Solarin disclosed that the gathering was about appreciating outstanding officers, teachers and principals that have contributed immensely to the success of our students in the last year’s WAEC examination.
