Vehicular movement was temporarily brought to a halt at Alausa and its environs during the monthly walk for fitness exercise for officers in the ministry of Education. The exercise which started with Aerobics and later a short walk was led by Mr. Abolaji Abayomi, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education and some other Directors. The Permanent Secretary acknowledged to the fact that all work and no play make Jack a dull boy and there must be a time to burn out fats due to the sedentary nature of the ministry’s work. “The importance of good health can never be overemphasized and when the body soul and spirit are all at peace, there would be efficiency and productivity at work place,†emphasized Abayomi. He therefore counseled Officers not to make it a one off exercise but should make it a regular affair.
