Somolu Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) recently celebrated her merit award tagged SOMAC 2021 in order to reward outstanding teachers, head teachers and pupils in the LGEA. The Education Secretary (ES) of the LGEA, Honourable Onayemi Martins disclosed that the outgoing academic session remains one of the best in the LGEA history noting that the EKO EXCEL initiative by the state government has become the game changer in which pupils’ enrolment into public primary school has increased. He advised the outstanding teachers not to rest on their oars but to continue to put in their best. Mr. Adeseyi Adekunle of Aiyetoro Primary School emerged the best teacher while Mrs. Rachel Adesina of Pedro got the prize for the best head teacher and Miss Amida Bello of Olaolu Nursery and Primary school clinched the best pupil in the LGEA.
