AYANDELE SEEKS IMPROVED MENTAL ALERTNESS AMONG STAFF

The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary of Lagos State Education District III, Dr. Olufolayimika Ayandele, has advocated regular physical fitness exercises as a way of improving the wellness of staff members and helping them maintain reasonable weight and improved management of high-risk diseases. Speaking at Campos Mini-Stadium on Lagos Island during a fitness exercise organised by the District recently, Dr. Ayandele said the exercise was aimed at ensuring that staffers were fit and healthy, adding that the programme was also an avenue for the staff to interact and socialise with one another. Her words: "They are interacting with one another and they are bonding. All these are part of what makes work easy and enjoyable. They will also be able to do what they should do on their jobs as expected. We want our staff to be health-conscious. We fully observe COVID-19 protocols during the programme". "We are therefore, doing everything possible to make staffers happy, ensure their wellbeing is intact, they are more productive on the job and are contributing to the development of the education sector so that they can effectively train our future leaders in the state in particular and in the country at large", Ayandele stated. The Director, Co-curricular Science and Technology, Education District III, Mrs. Aderonke Odunsi-Titus said the participants included teachers, principals and other officers across all levels and from different locations such as Ibeju-Lekki, Epe, Lagos Island and Eti-Osa. …..…ORGANISES EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMME FOR STAFF The district also organised an empowerment programme for its teaching and non-teaching staff in different areas of interest as a way of creating avenues for the participants to use their leisure periods productively and profitably. Speaking at the commencement of the training programme on drawings, paintings, tye and dye, crafts, hat making, ankara bags and ankara belts among others in the district office at Ikoyi. The TG/PS said the training was designed to expose the beneficiaries to various opportunities in the areas of their passion.
