Our Mission Statement

To lay a good, sound and qualitative educational foundation and to instil discipline and confidence in pupils. To inspire them to greatness and to be patriotic leaders of tomorrow.

School History

The school emerged from the merger of 3 independent schools: Abina Primary School; Omololu Primary School and Eledu Primary school. They were merged on the 29th Sept. 1980, under the Headship of Mrs Craig M. I with 14 teaching and 4 non teaching staff. The pupils enrolment then was (555), 178 boys and 377 girls, Omololu premises was used for the Junior Section (Primary 1-3) while Abina premises was used for the Senior Section (Primary 4-6). In September 2012/2013 the Senior Primary in Abina premises was forced to join the Junior Primary 1-3 in Omololu premise because of the dilapidated condition of the school buildings in Abina premises: The administrative block, classrooms, toilets were unmanageable for teaching and learning.

Future Plans for the School

The school is expecting a prototype building from the government.

Support Required

Government should make haste in reconstructing Abina school premises for us. The school needs teaching staff at least six (6) teachers for effective learning. The school needs non-teaching staff to assist in our nursery classes. The school needs sickbay for the pupils. The nursery section needs more classroom, comfortable chairs and tables. The school urgently needs septic tank for the school toilet.
