Our Mission Statement

To impact qualitative education to students in accordance with West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) Syllabuses. To employ qualified and dedicated teachers to handle the students. To lay a strong foundation for the tertiary education of the students. To equip the students with communication skills in foreign (English and French) and indigenous (Yoruba/Igbo/Hausa) languages. To inculcate the reading habit in the students through regular supply of textbooks and development of a standard library. To mould the studentsâ€™ character towards the challenges of life.

School History

Providence Heights Secondary School took off on Monday 26th September, 1994 with fifty nine students in J.S.S 1, 2. At take off, the school had four class rooms, eight teaching staff, a security house and a small administrative office. The school has well equipped Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories. There is also a functioning Fine Arts studio, Music room, Home Economics room and Basic Technology workshop, state of the art computer laboratory powered by NIIT. The school was approved as an examination centre for SSCE in 1998 and since then we have been presenting candidates for SSCE for both WAEC and NECO with resounding success every year. All subjects stipulated by WAEC and Lagos State Ministry of Education are taught in the school. The school has passed out sixteen sets of students since inception.
