Our Mission Statement
To provide: -affordable yet qualitative education. -a holistic, eclectic yet stimulating and challenging educational experience that encourages independent thought, self-respect, discipline, confidence as well as academic excellence. an education that produces young citizens who are independent thinkers with physical and moral courage, who are articulate, well mannered and tolerant, educated in the widest sense of the word, sensitive to the needs of others, and dedicated to the service of their fellow citizens and the community as a whole.

School History
Rosecroft Prep started in September 2010 as a cr?che and nursery in September 2010 with one child and 4 members of staff. Soon our children were smoothly transiting into choice schools within Ikeja GRA. In 2012 we commenced primary provision with 3 children in Primary 1 and ( a sibling) in Primary 4. In 2013 we had more children join our primary including one preparing for secondary transfer. At the end of that school year both children sat secondary transfer exams and came out in flying colours. Our very well resourced nursery offers the British EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) curriculum merged with the Montessori method. We are concerned with the physical, social, emotional, spiritual, moral and intellectual development of the child. We always start from the practical and then work towards the abstract, giving each child the opportunity to develop at his/herself confidence and independence at their own pace- two key skills necessary to help them become lifelong learners. A solid phonic foundation is laid through the consistent use of Letterland - a child friendly phonic system. This coupled with our strong interest and early introduction to enjoying books ensures all our children are reading and enjoying reading with relative independence by age 4. The children are introduced to French, playing a musical instrument from Nursery 1 and swimming in Nursery 2. In our equally well resourced primary section the UK National Curriculum is at the core of what we teach, however we also introduce the Nigerian curriculum to enhance and broaden their experience and prepare them for secondary transfer regardless of the curriculum on offer there.
