"ANSAR-UD-DEEN JUNIOR GRAMMAR SCHOOL, IMOTA, LAGOS STATE THE HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE OF THE SCHOOL The School was founded by the Ansar-ud-deen society of Nigeria as ANSAR-UD-DEEN SECONDARY COMMERCIAL COLLEGE, IMOTA on 11th September 1978 with only Eighty Students on inception. On 11th September, 1979, the School was up-graded to a full fledged Grammar School as ANSAR-UD-DEEN GRAMMAR SCHOOL, IMOTA by Lagos State Government with a student population of Four hundred (400). Put a substantive Principal was posted on 23rd February, 1980. Some of the Principalship of the School to date are as follow: MR. POPOOLA LAWANSON- 23RD FEBRUARY, 1980- 5TH APRIL, 1983 MRS. W.O. SOWEMIMO - 15TH APRIL, 1983 - 5TH JULY, 1985 MR. B.I. BANWO - 9TH SEPTEMBER, 1985 - 26TH FEBRUARY, 1986 MRS. OLUBOWALE F.T - 22ND OCTOBER, 2021 TILL DATE On 24th of October, 2002, the School with other public secondary Schools in Lagos State was streamlined into Senior and Junior Grammar Schools with separate Principals, Teaching and Non-teaching staff to direct the affairs of the two Schools."
