Our Mission Statement

School History

The Riverbank school was founded in the year 2009. It started as a Nursery using the Early Year Foundation Stage with an application of Montessori principles. The vision was birthed by the Pastor of City of David, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade. The School started in the premises of the junior church hall and a room in the church office. The first child, Tochi Arinze resumed on Monday 2nd of March 2009. Thereafter Ayooluwa Banjoko resumed at the school. The school grew slowly but steadily over the next few months and by September 2009 we had over Thirty Children. Over the years we have grown in size and stature. Over the years the school has expanded steadily and has an outstanding reputation for achieving the best for all students. One of the most striking features is its atmosphere: Happy Children and Young adults going about their business in a purposeful manner. The RiverBank School operates as a family; the student teacher ratio is 12:1. The relationship between staff and students is exceptionally warm, built on trust and mutual respect, a good starting point for a fine education which lays its emphasis on academic excellence, sporting achievement and high attainment in a wide variety of activities. RBS provides a breadth of opportunity in which children can develop their own individual talent within a very strong and supportive framework. At The Riverbank School our goal is to educate the ?whole child?- the spiritual as well as the intellectual well-being of our students.
