School History

Acme-Oaks Children Home School was founded in May 2004 to meet the educational need of a few children in the neighbourhood. It started operations under a â€˜home schoolingâ€™ arrangement with only 2 children (a boy and a girl) aged below 3 years. The school later transformed into a full-fledged regular school. This was in response to the desires and interest of other parents. The school obtained the approval license of the Lagos State Government in December 2007 and has since been operating from its present site at No. 24 Awawu Street, Abaranje Road Ikotun. The school later acquired the adjoining plot (No. 26) where the College is situated. The Management Team is led by Mrs Teniola J. Sobowale, an experienced administrator and educationist. The Academic team is supervised by Mr. Sunday Sobowale, the Director of Academics who doubles as the Principal of the College assisted by Ms Joy Okpor also an experienced teacher and administrator, who is the Vice Principal. The Primary Section of the school is presently headed by Mrs Oluwatosin Balogun, a trained teacher with experience spanning over a decade. The school currently has 21 dedicated academic and administrative staff in its employ. Acme-Oaks Schools is a preferred school by quality-minded parents in its area of operations especially because of the outstanding academic and cocurricular performances of the scholars in internal and external exams and competitions. In the same vein, admission into the school is based on an objective and strict standard which ensures only qualified and serious minded candidates are enrolled. The mission of the school is to continually strive to add value in all stages of the childrenâ€™s growth in order to pedestal for their God-ordained position in life and eternity. The Motto of the school ROOTED FOR RARE FEATS aptly set forth the overall vision of the founders and to date, the school has constantly retooled to live up to this expected outcome.
