School History
"A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL Angus Memorial Senior High School (formally Igbobi College II) was founded on the 14th August 1980 on Igbobi College Ground. It was founded by the Lagos State Government Lateef Jakande. Both staff and students were drawn from the afternoon session of Birch Freeman High school, Surulere and Igbobi College, Yaba respectively. The school is in Somolu Zone. The founding Principal was Mrs. Bola Elusade (4th August, 1980 to 5th November 1984) The school took off as a co - educational Institution consisting of forms 1 to V with student population of 620 boys and 360 girls totalling 1,000 distributed into 22 classes. The name of the school was officially changed from Igbobi School II to Angus Memorial High School, on the 24th February, 1983 immortalizing the name of Rev. Allen Angus the first Principal of Igbobi College, Yaba. Due to restructuring carried out by the state Ministry of Education in 2002, Angus Memorial High School got a new name, Angus Memorial Senior High School made up of only Senior Secondary Students i.e S.S I to S.S Angus Memorial senior High school now has a population or 620 students which comprises 340 Boys and 280 Girls.
