School History

The name Tinachris is an acronym derived from the first name of the proprietress Tina and the Director Christopher(Tina and Chris)as Tinachris. The school idea came the interest and zeal to contribute to the educational system in Lagos state due to the benefit that the Director got in Lagos State during his educational program. It was the idea sold to me by by Mr. Emmanuel Sofo Appea who was a class teacher and later head of school of my children at different times in Surulere that brought the establishment of the school. The school started on the 10th of October, 2005 with 5 pupils ,1 headteacher,4 class teachers,1 security guard and cleaner. Between 2010 and now, we have been able to add more structure to the building of the school .2 offices,3 special rooms, additional classrooms and 10 toilets . Materials are already on ground to raise the decking which will provide extra 12 classrooms. The hostile economic environment had an adverse effect on the growth of the school .Hence, population of the pupils in the school is growing gradually.
