School History
The school was established on the 6th September, 1982 in a building at the middle of Lakowe Town (where the current central mosque of the town is sited) with only 10 students and 2 teachers, the Pioneer Principal was Mr Balogun. After three months at the building, the school was moved to the current permanent site and Mr Y.O Ocholo, a Ghanaian became the second Principal. The 3rd Principal was Mr Pasede followed by Mr Femi Akinremisi and then Mr L.O. Obinni between July 13th 1992 and 17th October, 1995. The 6th Principal, Mr Akinpelu J.K took over from October 27th, 1995 to 5th January, 2003. Mr Bejinde .R became the Principal of Iwerekun Community Senior High School on 6th January, 2003 when schools in Lagos State were divided into Senior and Junior Schools; Mrs E.A. Otemuyiwa took over from him on 16th October, 2008 till 25th September, 2014 when she handed over to Mr Fakorede .P.Banji Mr Fakorede handed the school over to the current Principal, Mrs FASHOLA A.O on the 4th August, 2020 and She remains on the seat till date.
