The school was established in 1979 and registered in 1980. The school was named SEMITO due to fight for ownership by the surrounding communities which are Sala, Esemboke, Molajoye, Igbodu, Temu and Oke Osho, but shortly after, the school name was changed to. Molajoye Community High School, since it is situated at Molajoye Village.

Future Plans for the School
The school is making plans to upgrade its infrastructure, encourage teacher training and capacity building, and introduce innovative programs to improve student outcomes and prepare them for tertiary education and the workforce.

Security: Provision of adequate security personnel and facilities to ensure the safety of students, staff, and school property. 2.Teachers: Recruitment and posting of more qualified teachers in needed subject areas to reduce workload and improve the quality of teaching and learning. 3. Furniture: Supply of additional classroom furniture such as desks, chairs, and tables for both students and teachers to create a comfortable learning environment. 4. Power Supply: Provision of stable electricity supply or alternative power sources to support administrative work, use of educational technology, and general school activities. These supports will greatly improve the learning environment and help the school achieve its educational goals."
