School History

In the 2nd republic, the then Lagos State Governor Alhaji Lateef Jakande established the school on 3 acres of land donated by the Chief Imam of Aguda Alhaji Akinyemi the School was constructed and it resumed on 26th September 1980 with 1000 students and then teachers. A van was given to the school in March 1987. The members of the first board and Governor's include: Prince D.A Famodun Chairman Mrs C. A Balogun Secretary Principal Mr M. Agbeleye Member Alh M.O Somodu Member Chief Nwagwu Member Mrs F.O Amusan Member Mr P. Onyenere Member Mrs U. Ihinujet Member The school founding principal was Mrs X A Balogun. When she was transfered in 1995. Mrs S.D Ilodianya who also pioneered State Grammar School Surulere was posted to replace her The school moved to Akinsemoyin in primary school premises to enable the Government Col. Gbolahan Mudashuri in 1990 to build the Proto type blocks and classrooms. The school however sojourned in Akinsemoyin Primary school premises for Ten years . Thanks to the Lagos state government then particularly the Administration of Senators Bola Ahmed Tinubu for making the dreams come true by completing the magnificent edifice. They allowed the school to move back to the permanent sure in Brown Road Aguda Surulere on 12th January, 2001
