School History

The school was established on the 16th of January, 1973 by the Baptist Mission in Lagos State. The first Principal of the school was Mrs. O. Ofuya. The school at inception had forms 1 to v and later JS1 to SS3. On May 5th, 2009, Lagos Baptist Senior Secondary School 2 was carved out from the school and the compound and infrastructure were divided into two, hence, the current name Lagos Baptist Senior Secondary School 1
