School History

The school, IBELEFUN COMMUNITY JUNIOR SCHOOL, OWODE IBESHE was established on September 4, 2023. The pioneering principal is Mrs Oamen-moyib, M.O, vice principal was Mrs Adio Ruth Gbekele presently redeployed to Ikorodu Junior Grammar School as Principal. The present Vice Principal is Mrs Akinwale, D.A. According to the Baale; Chief Kareem Ishola Shonaike, the community is named after the texture of the sand in the community, that is "ibi ile funfun" (white sand). The school has a bungalow of seven (7) classrooms, three (3) serves as Staff room and Administrative offices and four (4) as classrooms for students. Another bungalow of six (6) classrooms is under construction by the community leaders headed by Honourable Kaoli Olusanya. The school has no fence, security officers but the principal employed Day guard as one of the Ad-hoc staff working in the school. Staff population is 17: Fifteen Teaching Staff including Principal and Vice Principal (1 male and 14 females) and two (2) females Non-Teaching Staff. Student population is 186: JSS 1 are 115 Students (57 males and 58 females) JSS 2 are 71 Students (27 males and 44 females) jss 3 NIL. The school as participated in quiz competition and drama at local levels. We give glory to Almighty God for rapid development of the school under the leadership of our amiable Tutor General/ Permanent Secretary Education District II, Mrs. Anike Adekanye for her immense contribution, motivation and provision of office equipments by the Lagos State Government.

Future Plans for the School

1. Hopefully pursuit of excellence will become a culture in this school and there will evolve healthy rivalry and competition to be the best. 2. In house training for teachers in order to improve teaching and learning output. 3.intervention strategies to improve learning outcomes: I. Drilling of students on the assembly ground between the hour of 7:15am and 8:00am II. Students divided into groups and assigned to different teachers to monitor their assignment, reading habits and counseling.
