School History

"Oke-Afa Junior College is a public secondary school located in the Oke-Afa / Jakande Estate area of Isolo, Lagos State. It serves as a centre for junior secondary education for students from the local community and neighbouring parts of Lagos State. Oke Afa Junior college was established in 2003. It start with 1 principal,1 vice principal and 19 teachers.It was set up to provide affordable, government-supported secondary schooling to children in the growing residential community of Oke-Afa and Isolo.Since its establishment, the college has functioned as a state-owned educational institution, offering the standard Nigerian secondary school curriculum leading to the Basic Examination Certificate (BECE). The school has been involved in typical activities of secondary schools, including community programmes, student development events, and external examinations. Over the years, Oke-Afa Junior College has remained a key public secondary school within its district, contributing to the education of numerous students from Isolo and nearby communities. While the school may not be widely documented in history books, it plays a continuing role in delivering basic secondary education within Lagos State’s public school system. "
