School History

"In June 2007, Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) under the chairmanship of Mrs.O.T Benson instructed all LGEAS through the CIT Department to establish Mini Resource Centre in each LGEAS after a workshop organized by SUBEB for selected Teachers in Primary Schools across the state. The workshop was on how to improve quality of primary education through the use of instructional materials. Mini Resource Centre Ikorodu was established on 1st of September 2009 by the Education Secretary Late Alhaji S.A Oredein. On commencement the following were Posted to the centre from different schools in Ikorodu but we're under School Services And Support of the LGEAS. Mr. Omosowoemi A.E as the Head of Unit, Mrs Aberuagba A.R, Mrs. Gbadamosi T.O, Mr. Odukoya A.C, Mr. Oredein J.E and Mr. Olasupo A.A. By 30th January,2013 the centre gained its full independence and was given authority by SUBEB and the following staff were deployed. Mrs. Adams R.M, Mr. Taiwo M.O, Mrs. Oyinlade A.A. The Centre was awarded the second runner up best vocational centre on 28th of July,2022 during the annual merit award in Ikorodu LGEA. On Monday 28th of August,2022 Mini Resource Centre was relocated from Oga Primary School 23, Allison street, Ikorodu to Aga Primary School, Yewa Grammar Schools Complex, off Obasemo Road, Aga Ikorodu under the leadership of the Education Secretary, Mr. Amusa Afolabi On Thursday 7th of December,2023 Mini Resource Centre Ikorodu received the certificate of recognition from Ikorodu central zone sport Officers' for her support towards the upliftment of sporting activities in Ikorodu central zone. On Monday 21st of July, 2025 Mini Resource Centre Ikorodu was relocated back from Aga Primary School Ikorodu to Oga Primary School, 23 Allison street Ikorodu under the leadership of the Education Secretary Alhaji Taiwo Abiodun Odumbo. The list below are names of past and present coordinators 1. Mr. Omosowoemi A.E - 01-09-2009 to 31-08-2017 Retired 2. Mrs. Adams R.M - 11-09-2017 to 25-11-2021. Retired 3. Mrs. Oyinlade A.A - 13-01-2022 to 14-10-2025 Transfered 4. Mr. Taiwo M.O - 14-10-2025 Till date."
