School History

"The Establishment of Computer Centre Mowo-Nla was the initiative of the Education Secretary Hon. Amusa Afolabi to create more Computer Centre in Ikorodu. To help Centre was officially opened on Tuesday 17th October, 2023. The Centre is located at Community Primary School, Mowo-Nla town of Gberigbe road along Agura in Ikorodu Local Government Area of Lagos State. In order to reduce the stress of the pupils and teachers around the community going to a far distance for computer practical hence, the need for the creation of the centre at a nearby community for all to benefit from. At the beginning of the Centre, two staff started the Centre Mrs Akinwande O.R as the Coordinator and Mrs Adedokun R.A as an instructor. Mr Fapohunda the Headteacher of Community Primary School Mowo-Nla donated two laptops and Mr. Itameta a parent of a pupil in Community Primary School Mowo-Nla also donated two desktops to the Centre to the Centre on the 12th October 2023. The first School to he Centre attended to was Community Primary School Mowo-Nla on the 17th October, 2023 in attendance were fifty-seven pupils. Miss Abinleko M.S was deployed to Computer Centre Mowo-Nla on the 30th November, 2023 as an instructor, Mr Olowu S.O was also deployed as additional instructor, while Miss Aroyewun AFM was also deployed as a clerical officer on Wednesday 17th January 2024. On this note the Centre population of staff increased to four teaching and one non-teaching staff totaling five staff. On Wednesday 17th January, 2024 Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) and Local Government Education Education Authority (LGEA) staff came for the accreditation of the Computer Centre Mowo-Nla, Ikorodu Lagos State. Due to lack of basic things needed at the Centre, the following member of staff below: 1. Akinwande O.R ( Coordinator) 2. Olowu S. O (Instructor) 3. Adedokun R.A (Instructor) 4. Abinleko M.S ( Instructor) 5. Aroyewun AFM ( Clerical Officer) procure One Printer, One table, and four chairs to the Centre on 10th May, 2024. On 31st January 2025, LASG/LASUBEB/Y2023 PRIMARY FURNITURE PROJECT by Messrs, SYNTARCH LILITED donated 70 pairs of pupils furniture to the Centre. The staff of the Computer Centre also procure two computer systems on 29th April,2025."
