School History
Methodist Pry School Agura was founded in 1919 by the Methodist mission according to the elders of the village. Mr Solewe was the first teacher with eight children in the school. The first site was at Itunlaga Agura. The school was later closed down due to lack of pupils. In 1943 the school was re-opened through the efforts of chief Oladunni, since then the school had been in operation. The school was moved to its present location since 1995 with two new buildings of six and three classrooms respectively. Mr. Kuti was the headmaster then. The School was running by the Methodist Mission upto 1976 when the Local Govt. council took over and later handed over to the state.
