School History

Oworonsoki Pry School was carved out of Muslim Mission Pry School in 1980, It was called Muslim Mission School 2 then later changed to Oworo Nur/Pry School Oworonsoki. The first headteacher was Mr. J.A. Adeleye, the school has had six headtechers till date. The school started with six hundred and sixty pupils which was made up of 14 classes with only nine teachers. Oworonsoki Pry School is located at 3 awanatu Olowu Close, Oworo, at the time the school started it had only 3 buidings of six classrooms each, nine teaching staff and three non-teaching staff but today the school has 24 teaching staff and 10NTS. The School PTA was launched on26/10/82, the first set of Pry six passed out in June 1981, the first annual interhouse sport competition was held on 27/01/82. The School had been a beneficiary to two programmes which had helped the school to be where it is today.
