Future Plans for the School
"THE FUTURE OF EKO JUNIOR COLLEGE Eko Junior College in Orile-Agege community is a public junior secondary school located on Ogundele Street, Agege, Lagos. The school has undergone reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts, including the unveiling of new classrooms by Hon. Johnson Sunday Babatunde, the formal Executive Chairman of Orile-Agege LCDA, as part of efforts to improve education in the community. The school has also been involved in environmental initiatives, such as the ""Green Club"" launched by the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI) Environment Team, which aims to promote environmental sustainability and tackle plastic pollution. In light of the above, the future of EKO JUNIOR COLLEGE, ORILE-AGEGE, looks highly promising. For Eko Junior College to thrive and cope with the ever demanding academic environment, here are possible prospect for the future: 1. State-of-the-art facilities: Upgraded classrooms, labs, and libraries to support modern learning. 2. Digital integration: Incorporate tech tools and digital literacy to prepare students for the future. 3. Vocational training: Offer skills like carpentry, fashion design, or coding to equip students for careers or entrepreneurship. 4. Environmental focus: Build on the Green Club initiative to promote sustainability and community engagement. 5. Strong community ties: Partner with local businesses and organizations for internships, mentorship, and opportunities. 6. Some other potential goals such as; - Improve academic performance and student outcomes - Increase extracurricular activities (sports, arts, clubs) - Enhance teacher training and support - Foster a culture of innovation and critical thinking. With all of these in place, I see a brighter future for this great citadel of learning."
