"Epe Grammar School, founded in February 1954 as Epe Divisional Grammar School, is the premier secondary institution in the Epe Division of Lagos State, established to provide academic excellence. Originally a boys-only school, it became co-educational in 1969. It was established by community efforts led by Late A.B. Egberongbe, O. Tobun, A.O. Hassan, and M.D. Kazeem. Key Historical and Background Information: Foundation: Established in 1954 to serve the Epe Division. Pioneer Leadership: The first principal was Mr. S.C.A. Yoloye. Evolution: Started as a boys' school and became co-educational in 1969, later adopting both day and boarding formats. Location: Situated in Epe, a town known for its history as part of the Lagos Colony, roughly 77 kilometers from Lagos city. Recent Developments: The school's infrastructure has been updated, with recent additions including 100-bed girls' and boys' hostels, staff quarters, and a mini-stadium, according to a 2026 YouTube video.
