"The Original name of the school was Nigeria Premier College Yaba. The college was founded in January 1965 by pastor J.O Martin. The name of the school was changed to Anthony village senior high school in November 13th 1979. The foundation stone was laid by the Past governor of Lagos state in person of Alhaji Lateef Jakande at works yard Anthony village. The name of the first Principal of the school under the state then was Mr Z.A False. The school song and regulations were established during Mr False reign. "
