School History
The school, Atunrase Senior High School, Surulere Lagos was founded by the Lagos State Government on 6th September 1981. The School is located at No 10 owodele Street, Off Ishaga Road, Surulere. The first principal of the school is Mr. J.K. Awojobi now late with six members of staff and two hundred and thirty-eight boys. The incumbent principal is Mr. F.M. Ogunwusi assumed duty as the principal on the 8th October 2009. The first WAEC examination was taken June 1986, in 2003 the school was split into two senior and Junior school. The current staff strength is forty-two i.e thirty-two teaching staff and ten non-teaching staff. The school celebrated her silver jubilee and launched the school magazine. The total population of the students in the school is one thousand one hundred and sixty-five.

Future Plans for the School
Building of Laboratory block for Chemistry, Biology Physics, Agricultural Science, Foods & Nutrition and Internet accessible computer Laboratory. Setting up of New academic blocks to enable the school have more classrooms for the students. Setting up of a school hall. A forty-eight sitter luxurious bus for student exursion. We are looking forward to enhancing the academic performance of the students from time to time.
