Future Plans for the School
"Future Plan for Matori Senior Grammar School, Okota The future vision of Matori Senior Grammar School is to strengthen academic excellence, nurture responsible character, and equip students with the knowledge, discipline, and confidence required to succeed in both internal and external examinations while pursuing their individual dreams and aspirations. To achieve this goal, the school will focus on improving the overall learning environment and strengthening academic support systems for students. A major focus will be the improvement of teaching and learning quality. Teachers will be encouraged to adopt modern and student-centered teaching methods that promote critical thinking, creativity, and deeper understanding of subjects. Regular professional development programs and collaborative lesson planning will help teachers remain effective and innovative in the classroom. The school also plans to strengthen academic monitoring and assessment systems. Continuous assessment, periodic mock examinations, and structured revision programs will be organized to prepare students effectively for external examinations such as WASSCE, NECO, and other qualifying examinations. Special intervention classes will be arranged for students who require additional academic support. Another key objective is the promotion of a strong reading and study culture among students. The school will encourage regular use of the library, organized study groups, academic clubs, and subject competitions to improve intellectual engagement. Students will be guided on effective study habits, time management, and examination techniques to enhance their academic performance. The administration also intends to promote guidance and career development programs. Through career talks, mentorship sessions, and counseling services, students will be helped to identify their talents, set realistic goals, and pursue career paths aligned with their dreams and abilities. In addition, the school aims to strengthen discipline, moral values, and character development, recognizing that academic success is closely linked with good conduct, responsibility, and self-motivation. Partnership with parents, alumni, and the wider community will also be encouraged to support academic programs, infrastructural development, and student motivation initiatives. Such collaboration will help provide resources and opportunities that further enhance students’ learning experiences. Through these strategic efforts, Matori Senior Grammar School seeks to continually improve the academic performance of its students, prepare them for success in both internal and external examinations, and empower them to confidently pursue their dreams and contribute positively to society."
