School History

The school started as New Era Girls School III 07 Sept. 1981 at Govt. College Eric-Moore Rd. Compound First Principal was Mrs Idowu with population of 270 students. Mrs Imo A.A. was posted to Akinsemoyin private School compound 28/09/81. The school moved to its permanent site on 24/11/1985 and it is called Iponri Estate Girls High School and later to Iponri Estate High School when the school became mixed in 1986. Several principal have passed through the school. The immediate past principal was Miss I.A. Toki who was transferred and Mrs. O.O. Anyah was redeployed to the school Jan. 2009 and she remains the principal to date. the current Vice principal is Mrs. E.E. Ebigwe with staff strength of 28teachers and 4 non-teaching staff and current population is 1662.
