School History
The School formerly known as Govt. College school IV was founded on the 7th Sept.1981. It was initially located at Govt. College School 1 Assembly hall after which it was moved to its present site. The first principal was Mrs. Oluwabusola. It was established as a coeducational school. However some hearing impaired students about 20 were also admitted along with regular students. Five teachers and the principal and non-teaching staff were on roll at the inception of the school. Later the deaf unit was established in 1986 with special teachers. The purpose was to integrate the deaf with their learning counterparts. On the 6th January , 2003 the schooll was divided into Senior and Junior schools hence it assume the name 'State Senior Grammar School 'The past Principal were Mrs. Oluwabusola ,Mrs Ilodianya,Mrs. Owoseni, Mrs Oklah Avae.The current Principal is Mrs. O.O. Oludemi. The school population is 498 135 hearing impaired and 363 hearing students with 23 teaching staff,and 2 non teaching staff
