School History
From the records available in centre, Biney Home Economics Centre was formerly called domestic science centre and was officially founded in June 13th 1981 Surulere Local Government. The centre started functioning in June 13th 1988 with the help of Mrs. M.A. Thomas. The head teacher of Biney Memorial Primary School Mosalasi now retired who withdraw two of her teachers to the centre. Mrs. E.O sapara, Now retired, who had an additional qualification (merit in Arts and Crafts) to handle the boys and Mrs. T.U. Egedo, now retired also with additional qualification (merit Certificate in needle work and catering) to handle the girls same time volunteered to spare one classroom to be used tor the centre. The centre cater for ten schools. the centre was moved to Musin Local Government in 1991. Only record on population for girls were recorded which was (698) Six hundred and ninety eight, presently the centre population is almost Two Thousand. The centre has nine members of staff consisting of one headteacher, three teachers and five non-teaching staff.

To maximize learning opportunities for the pupils. To make the centre one of the best centre in Lagos State. To produce pupils that can fit in and compete with best pupils from within and outside Nigeria at all level. To create a conducive environment which will facilitate and enhance learning process.

  • The centre needs the following equipments. Radio, Deep freezer, Cooker with cylinder, cooking pots.
  • Sewing Machine, Refrigerator, Electric, Kettle, Generator, Working Table e.t.c.
