School History
The history of the above named centre dates as far back as 1998, when Chief Mrs Asalu was the then Executive Chairman of the former SPEB. The federal government through former NPEC established computer centre in different states of the federation with Lagos state as a special centre. In 1998, Baruwa Computer Centre and Kosofe Computer Centre in SUBEB Complex were the only centres then, but with more centres being established, there are now twenty four centres in the state. Baruwa computer Centre started with four computer systems a printer and five computer teachers with Mr. A.K. Ajuwom as the first HOD of which four of the teachers have been transferred out to head other centres. The current Hod is Mr, w.C. Nzeka, with three teaching staff and seven non-teaching staff. The centre was set up with specific objective of giving the pupils Computer Appreciation, Awareness which entails making them to practically process simple words with the input and output and system unit devices. Baruwa ComputerCentre also has the obective of imparting and acquiring basic skills that will enable them to understand the operation of computer at a higher level in future. Although the centre has made some improvements historically, in term of excellent theoretical and pratical skills the pupils acquire and display at the end. For some years now, the centre has been facing some setbacks in terms of old Computer sytems, broken benches and desks and shortage of computer teachers.
