School History
The School was founded in 1955 by the former Premier of Western Region of Nigeria in person of Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo. It occupies No. 1-3 Ike-Olu street, Mushin, Lagos. The original name was Mushin Town Council School, Idi-Oro. It started with few pupils and teachers. The first building was four traditional blocks of four classrooms each. In 1976 when the Universal Primary Education took off, three new U.P.E blocks were added. The school was later divided into three schools. The mother school was changed to Local Government Primary School. The other two schools are now Odi-Olowo Primary School and Folami Pry School. The Local Government Pry School now shares the compound with the Odi-Olowo Pry School while Folami Pry School has been relocated. The school (Local Government) now consists of three prototype buildings. In all there are fifteen classrooms in the school. Since inception the school has achieved laurels in the area of sports and quiz competition in 1998. In 2008, the pupils came 1st in the match pass. The school is waxing stronger with the current headteacher is Mrs. M.F. Adediran , The school consist of ten teachers and ten non teaching staff with pupils population of 223, with male 106 and female 117
