School History

St. Thomas Aquainas Primary School was founded on 1st of Feb. 1960, with Mr. D.K Anyanwu as the headteacher, 17 teachers on duty and an enrollment of 593 pupils all boys. The School broke into two due to accommodation problems, but were later brought back to Atunrase street. The School population increased yearly and by 1970 the staff strength has increased to 51 and 223 pupils were registered for standard six exams. and approximately 95% passed the exam. Several headteachers has served the school and the current headteacher is Mrs. M.O. Fenuga. The pupils has been performing wonderfully in school activities.
