School History

Community Junior High School, Surulere was established on the 6th January, 2003 when all Lagos State Secondary Schools were split into junior and Senior Secondary School, during the civilian Government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Mrs. C.A Akinsete was the first principal of the School. The staff strength at inception was 24 teachers and 2 non teaching staffs. Student population at inception one thousand one hundred, 11 prototype classrooms, one staff room one Eko project room, Home economics room, one science laboratory, mathematics workroom, a Library.
