School History

The School was founded on the 26th September, 1980 by the civilian administration of Lateef Jakande. The School with eighteen teachers and five(5) non-teaching staff. P.T.A was launched in 1982 & the first chairman was Mr. J.A Ashaolu. The School won the best School award in 2001 & 2002 merit award(SAMAC). The nursery section was introduced in 2002 to increase the population of the Primary Schools in the State. The School has a population of 936 pupils with 25 teaching staff and 10 non-teaching staff. The chairman of Itire/Ikate LCDA has given the School 3 classrooms, new toilet 4 bore-hole, generator, uniform,bags & books was given to all the pupils in the School including furniture to the 2 classes.

Future Plans for the School

The functional classes should be rebuild to storey building and filling of the School compound to stop flooding when it rains. Creating of playing ground for sporting activities. Provision of library to improve the reading culture. The headteacher/ administrative office should have air conditioner, television, computer/ laptop for use. The School should also have good & strong fence & gate. The environment must be conducive for both pupils & teachers. To take the school to a greater height in area of teaching and learning process, sports and other activities ,and To promote healthy environment and more so, to develop the children physically and morally
