School History

The school was founded on Thursday 9th of October 1980 by Alhaji Jakande regime. The first Headteachers of the school was Mrs. C.A Adelana. The teaching staff stood at 16 while the population of the school was 653 The school was of six classrooms which accomodated pupils from many privates school within Surulere The first testimonial was issued to primary six pupils from the school in 1981. Akanji Primary school the main campuses is able to house primary 1-3 while pry 4-6 is at Obele Primary school Lawanson.

Regular training /semiinar workshop for teachers to enhance their knowledge in the profession. Regular provision of teaching aids/instructional materials to make learning very interesting. Eradication of use of chalk in replacement with electronic board.
