School History

L.A. Nursery and Primary School, Muwo-Tedi was originally known as Awori district council Muwo-Tedi in the early year of exisitence. It is situated at the villages nearby, they are Tedi, Muwo, Onireke and Abule - Oshun. The School was established in January 1957 in the village mosque but due to the clashes , it was moved into a bamboo hut between Tedi and Gojere village which is the present site of the school. There were about thirty two pupils from about six neighboring villages;- namely Itogba, Oguntedo, Ijegun, Ephram, Tedi and Muwo. Now the school has a population of four hundred and ninety one pupils with seven teachers with a block of six classrooms.
