School History
The idea of educating the Deaf was conceived by a group of friends in 1956 at Yaba, Later moved to Oba's palace. They were there untill 1962 when they were moved to where they are till today. Wesley school 1 for the hearing impaired children was founded in 1962 and named Federal School for the Deaf with 30 pupils. The school had boarding facility untill 1967 when the state goverment took over the school. In 1980, the school was divided into two for easy administration
