School History

The school was founded in September 1982 with the name Community Secondary School 2, mile 2, under the defunct Ojo SMC It was later relocated to the present site in Tolu and the Name Changed to Newland Secondary School. The implementation of the UBE led to the spliting of the school into Newland junior/senior secondary schools in 2003. On spliting the school Mrs E.O. Ayatian was principal of the Junior school while the senior school was headed by Mrs F.I Aimienwanu The current Principal of the school is Mr. S.A Afolarin
