School History
Palm Avenue primary School, Mushin was formerly known as Mushin Local Government Pry School (M.L.G.P.S) until 1980 when Mr. Fatokun the then headteacher was transferred away from the school and primaries one to three were merged with New city Pry School in Oct. 1980 while primaries four to six were de-shifted to Odo Aladura Pry School. Hence the old Mushin Local Government Pry School ceased to exit. In Sept. 1982 there was out courageous population explosion at New city primary School. Consequently the school manatement committee (SMC) carved a school out of the existing New Primary School out of the existing New City Primary School and the new school was named new city primary School II. Mrs. B.A. Amakhe an R.N Ukoha were appoint as acting headteacher and assistance headteacher respectively between 25/9/1981 to 3/1/1982. while the substantive head teachers of the school from Jan. 4th 1982 were Mr. Bayewu F.A. and J.A. Fatokun as the assistance headteacher. By March, 1983 the school's name who changed from New City Primary School II to Palm Avenue Primary School Olorunsogo Mushin under the headship of Mr. J.A. Fatokun. The school has been producing pupils duly posted to secondary School for further education career. Some companies such as Promasidor Cowbell, Indomie Noodles, Blue boat donated sign post to the school in recognition of their performances. The school has able to stage successful Inter-house sport competitions in the school. Conclusively, since the existence of the above named school to date the standard, development, progress and achievement attained by the school have reflected in the academics, social, cultural and moral performance of the pupils and teachers who are doing their best in daily activities of the school. Several headteachers had worked in the school The current headteacher Mrs. A.A. Adeboye resumed on the 30th May, 2012
