School History

Idowu Primary School derived its name from Idowu Street, Off Adeboye Street Ilaje, Bariga. It was founded on 4th January, 1982. Now at Deji - Ladejobi Street Ilaje, Bariga. It was established through the educational policy of the then Civilian Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakade. The headteacher of the school from inception was Mr. J.A. Olubajo with 358 pupils, Female 177, Male 171, 8, classrooms 8 teachers, 6 male, 2 female including the headteacher. This could be compared with the present pupils population of 565 and 25 teachers; 1 headteacher with 10 non-teaching staffs.
