School History
Ewu Primary School, Ewutuntun, formerly Methodist School II. It was officially recognized as a school on 4th January, 1982 with 22 staff, 965 pupils, 418 boys, 545 girls, 6 streams and 24 arms. The First set of F.S.L.C Exam was 100% in the same year 1982. On 24th January, 1983 the name changed to Ewu Community Primary School, by the PTA Inter to Ewu Primary School by the approval of the School Management Board (S.M.B) through the then School Management Council (S.M.C). on 17th July, 1986. The School dimension is 14284. 43q metre. The present physical structure is made up of 2 blocks of 12 classrooms, Administrative block, toilet, an unfinished project of 5 classrooms and a wide open space at the centre for recreation activities. The leadership has passed through 7 headteachers from Mrs. Anekwensi C.O to the present Mrs. Okewole G.A. The first PTA was launched on 20th October, 1983. The present PTA Chairman Mr. Minnis helped to re floor Six (6) classroom block and corridor. The school runs smoothly till date, do very well in Examinations and in outside competitions like sports, debates, spelling bee etc. Presently, the staff strength is 24, One (1) Headteacher, two (2) Assistant, 11, teaching staff, 9 non teaching staff ranging from clerks to guards, pupils population of 350 boys, 118 girls 232 in addition to ECCD class of kindergarten and nursery is 8 streams and 14 arms. LED Exam board State Ministry of Education for the welfare and progress of the school.
