School History

The school was founded in 1980 by the Ire-Akari Estate Women Association. This association went to Executive Governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Lateef Jakende and told him that they needed school. The Land was approved for the association and the school was named after the association. In 1980/81 session, the school started with twelve (12) teachers and twelve (12) classrooms, the first set of primary Six (6) were Fifty (50) in number and all of them sat for the First School Leaving Certificate Examination, 45 of them got distinction, 5 scored merits. At all times, the school produces brilliant pupils for school debate, quiz, and spelling Bee which also made the school.
