The school was founded on the 6th January ,2003 .The school started with the splinting of Birch High School ,Surulere into two ,that is , Birch Freeman Senior and Junior High School The former School ,Birch Freeman High School ,Surulere was founded on the 6th of February ,1960 by Rev..Thomas Birch Freeman of the Methodist Communion Since the inception of Birch Freeman Junior High School ,there has been two Principals--Mrs F.F.Olorunfemi and the incumbent Principal Mrs.C.A.Akinwunmi (Deputy Director of Education ).The school is under Zone ii(Mushin Zone )Mushin LGEA Of Education District VI,Oshodi
