Our Mission Statement

The Mission of Holy Child Education of the Roman Catholic Church is built on the principles of trust and reverence for the dignity of the human person to excel in life as a member of the academic family through honesty and hard-work; through academic, moral and social education and leadership formation, holistic development and engender in the students the awareness and appreciate of the needs of others and the nation as good citizen.

School History

Cardoso Catholic Secondary School was founded by Rev. Sr. Helena Brennan of the sisters of the Holy Child Jesus in September, 1978 as one of the Branches of the Mustard Seed now known as Cardoso Catholic Community Foundation -CAC/IT/No. 32333, under the overall proprietorship of His Eminence Anthony Cardinal Okogie, The Archbishop of the metropolitan see of Lagos. Driven by the educational philosophy of the Holy Child International Education based on trust and reverence for the dignity of the students and faculty, the school began as a commercial training centre and progressed to vocational secondary school in 2000 and in 2008 under the directorship of Rev. Sr. Dr. Bernadette Eyewan Okure SHCJ, the school was reckoned with LASGEMS and identified as Cardoso Catholic Sec. School.
