Our Mission Statement
Carrying out the mission of Jesus Christ "Go Unto the Whole World ref), St. Finbarr's College is to educated, and would, the minds and lives of the young ones to make them academically relevant and morally sound for the society.
  
School History
Establishment in 1956 at St. Pauls Primary School Apapa Rd., by Late Rev. Jr. D.J. Slattery, moved to Akoka in 1959, opened by Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe. Type: 1st and only bilateral school offering full Grammar & Technical Curricular. Exploits: In Sport:- won principals cup in 1962, 1966, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1978, by 1980 had won it 10 times, not equaled by any school, 1st School to represent Lagos State in the AU Nigeria Sec. School. Sport, 4 times between 1989 and 1986. Heroes: Football:- Henry Nwosu, Samson Siasia, Nduka Ugbade, Stephen Keshi, Nathaniel Ogedegbe, Muyiwa Oshintolu etc. Academic: Prof. Steve Elesha, Prof Shokunbi, Prof. Adedeji Badru of Military; Vice Admiral P. koshoni (RTD) Major General C.Iweze of Ecomog. Air Vice Marshall W. Oza, Beig-General Tunde, Reid, Rear Ekwere Biz & Industry, Segun Ajanlekoko, Mr. Adeyinka Bashorun, Chris Uwaye in 1976, taken over by Lagos State, returned to the Cath. Mission in 2001.
