School History
Shitta Primary School, Surulere was opened on Friday, 3rd October, 1980 with eleven teachers. The School was made up of ten classrooms. Two hundred and thirty pupils from different private school in the state were transferred to the school. Mrs O.O. Otuniga was transferred from St. Paul's Anglican School 2 Idioro, to the school as the first acting headmistress on the 9th October 1980. The 1st caretaker was Mr. H. Menueyi.
