School History

Jesus House Nursery and Primary started in 1984 at No. 1, Akin Ogunmade Davies Close, Gbagada Phase II. The school was approved in January, 2004 by Lagos State Ministry of Education. In September 2006, The Redeemed Christian Church of God Christ Church Parish, under the leadership of Pastor Ituah Ighodalo bought over the above mentioned school and changed her name to JH Schools which in full means Jesus House Schools. Mrs. Bimpe Peter-Akhigbe was the Head Teacher from September, 2006 to July 2009 when she became indisposed and resigned and Mrs. Adebola Ekwealor took over the leadership from November, 2009. The school is overseen by a Board Trustees headed by the Provincial Pastor, Pastor Remi Morgan supported by Pastor Olusegun Omotosho subsequent to Pastor Ituah Ighodalo's departure as well as managed by a Board of Governors headed by Mrs. Oluyemisi Mobolurin, comprising of Mrs. Ejeh Edith, Mrs. Adefulu Lola, Professor Funso Falade, Mrs. Okeowo. These two bodies take all major decisions and support the school head in an advisory capacity. The school relocated in July 2010 to its permanent site in Oke-Alo Estate Zone A, Gbagada Industrial Estate, Westex; Lagos. Since then, the school has been prepared to face new challenges, initiate new ideas and is undergoing a lot of growth and transformation. Jesus House School offers sound education to pupils aged 2-11 with facilities for creche and playgroup to cater for children below 2 years, Parents and pupils are given stability, cooperation and understanding which help to satisfy the pupils' educational needs. Our facilities include well-equipped computer laboratory, a library, resource room, a sickbay, air conditioned, classrooms, an open playground and ample space for parking. We look forward with eager anticipation to the challenges of the educational needs of children growing up in the 21st century.
