School History

The school Omolewa Kindergarten Nursery and Primary School was founded by Mr. Agnes Omolara Ashade a graduate of Montessori method and Bachelor of Education in London. The school began in a humble way as a daycare centre at the old cite, No 1, Kolawole Ashade Street, Iju Ishaga Agege, it expanded by heaps and bounds into kindergarten class with pupils from daycare. It was with a teacher by name Mr. Gautuah Harry and Miss Coustant as the helper forming the pioneers of the school on the 9th September, 1982. As years rolled by, tremendous patronage from parents. The school rose to Nursery and later primary section at the old site in 1984. Great efforts were made to develop a permanent site with a modern school structures following the guidelines from the ministry. The Education officers from the ministry visited the school on the 6th May, 1985 and the school was approved in 1986.
